Technical Program

Call for Papers

The symposium invites submissions of original research on all aspects of cryptology and information security. It is organised by the Cryptology Research Society of Africa, in cooperation with the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR). Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).

Scope

Topics of interest

The following list is indicative, not exhaustive. Work that is relevant but not listed is welcome.

  • Lattice-based cryptography
  • Code-based and isogeny-based schemes
  • Fully homomorphic encryption
  • Digital signatures and their security proofs
  • Post-quantum key establishment

Symmetric Cryptography

  • Design and analysis of block and stream ciphers
  • Authenticated encryption
  • Hash functions and permutations
  • Cryptanalysis and generic attacks
  • Lightweight primitives for constrained devices

Cryptographic Engineering

  • Efficient and constant-time implementations
  • Side-channel and fault attacks, and countermeasures
  • Hardware accelerators and FPGA designs
  • Random number generation
  • Computer-aided cryptography and formal verification

Advanced Protocols

  • Secure multi-party computation
  • Zero-knowledge proofs and succinct arguments
  • Threshold and distributed cryptography
  • Private information retrieval and oblivious RAM
  • Anonymous credentials and e-voting

  • Privacy-enhancing technologies
  • Cryptography for developing regions and low-bandwidth settings
  • Standardisation, deployment and migration
  • Ethical, legal and societal aspects of cryptology

For authors

Submission instructions

  1. 01

Submissions must be anonymous. Author names, affiliations and obvious self-references must be removed from the PDF and its metadata.

  2. 02

Use the current Springer LNCS template. The main body is limited to 20 pages including the bibliography; clearly marked appendices may follow but reviewers are not obliged to read them.

  3. 03

Papers must describe original work that is not published elsewhere and is not simultaneously submitted to another venue with proceedings.

  4. 04

At least one author of each accepted paper must register at the full rate and present the work in person.

  5. 05

Submit through the online submission system linked on this page. Only PDF files are accepted.
