Getting there
Arriving in Abidjan
International visitors arrive at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ), Abidjan's airport, which has direct connections to hubs across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The venue is in the city, a taxi ride from the airport; ride-hailing apps (Yango, Uber) also operate in Abidjan. The conference does not run a shuttle. Traffic is heavy at peak hours (roughly 7–9 am and 5–8 pm), so allow extra time.
| From | Distance | Time | Typical cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ) | 20 km | 40–60 min by taxi, depending on traffic | FCFA 10,000–15,000 | Agree the fare before leaving the airport, or use a ride-hailing app for a fixed price. |
| Hotels in Plateau and central Abidjan | 8 km | 20–40 min by taxi | FCFA 2,000–5,000 | Shared taxis are cheaper but slower; allow for peak-hour traffic. |

Entry requirements
Visa
Nationals of the countries listed below enter Côte d’Ivoire without a visa for stays of up to 90 days. Everyone else needs a visa. The simplest route is the e-visa: apply online (about EUR 73, issued within 48 hours) and collect it on arrival at Abidjan’s Félix-Houphouët-Boigny airport — it is only issued there, so plan to fly into Abidjan. Otherwise apply at an Ivorian embassy or consulate.
For all travellers: a passport valid for at least six months after arrival, and a yellow-fever vaccination certificate, which is checked at the border. Apply at least three weeks before you travel.
